PLEASE NOTE THE UPCOMING (MONDAY 14 FEBRUARY) DEADLINE TO UPDATE THE CCSDS
OPERATING PLAN. See the attached message for the process. Since Mr. Steve
Harris no longer works for the Secretariat, please have your chairs send
comments to Mr. Gary Forrester <Gary.Forrester at btas.com>

BY 14 FEBRUARY 2004: please ask every one of your WG and BOF chairs to
review their version 3 charter and to submit any requested changes to
reflect current status. In particular, if BOFs have been converted to WGs or
retired, please make the corrections.

I would remind each Area Director that it is your personal responsibility to
ensure the current accuracy of your component of the Operating Plan.

ADs and DADs: it's time to update the CCSDS Operating Plan and to transmit
the new version to the CMC with a request for a recommitment of Agency
resource allocations.

The version 3 draft that was the baseline for the November 2004 meeting is
attached in PDF format. You can also access the 
Word version of this document in DocuShare at:

The process for update is as follows:

1. BY 14 FEBRUARY 2004: please ask every one of your WG chairs to review
their version 3 charter and to submit any requested changes to reflect
current status to Steve Harris, <Stephen.Harris at btas.com> Mr. Gary Forrester
<Gary.Forrester at btas.com>

2. Steve will then prepare a summary of any major changes in scope, schedule
or resources, will edit the document to reflect these changes and will
produce version 4, which he will place back on-line.

3. I will transmit version 4 to the CMC for their review and reconfirmation.
This will become the baseline for the Athens meeting.
