The new schema is working pretty well so far, with one exception:
Due to the removal of subcomponents, I have changed to use Metadata to
represent the structure of a data model for a device. The problem is
that the required elements of a MetadataValueSet are all abstract
types, so I can't instantiate them in an EDS. I removed the
abstract="yes" from IntegerMetadataValueType, StringMetadataValueType,
FloatMetadataValueType, and DateMetadataValueType to resolve the
problem locally. Does anyone object to this change?
