CSSM Colleagues,
In response to this action item unfortunately I do not have any definitive answer at this time. And I think it is clear that it will still be, unfortunately, some time before we have an idea of when SMURF and SPDF along with CDE emerge for publication polling. Therefore, I propose that we administratively close this action item. Below is a screenshot of the technical editor tracking system that has been implemented by CCSDS techsupport. The priorities were assigned as a result of the CESG meeting at the spring 2025 meetings. It was difficult to argue that SMURF and SPDF should have higher priority than Spacelink related recommendations. I can say that there has been some progress as the bundle protocol version 7 was originally on this list and has now made it through and is a published recommendation (as an orange book). I am keeping an eye on this and as the new technical editor staff gains experience will be asking if completion dates can start to be estimated. In the meantime, if you like, you can check this status page by going to CCSDS Management Framework - Technical Editor Tracking System<https://spacecomm.sharepoint.com/sites/FM/Lists/TechEd/AllItems1.aspx?OR=Teams-HL&CT=1752688926669>
Best regards,
-Erik
