[cssm] SANA draft book

Hi,

I just have read the "SANA book" (CCSDS 313.2-Y-2) and in general I agree to what have been said in last teleconference. I also agree with the below point of Colin regarding personal data in EU. We are pretty closed community (space freaks) and until now it also worked "somehow", but it would not hurt if some specialist (lawyer? Does CCSDS has someone like that?) takes a peek. I do not know, just an idea...

Also I think the biggest issue of each registry is that it has to be kept up to date. But I do not think we can solve it with some procedure... (if the people are lazy.... Nothing helps, except electroshocks ;-)...

Hear you soon...
Marcin

Hi Peter,
                  unfortunately, as with all things legal, the data protection issue isn't quite that straightforward, see the following links;

  *   https://gdpr.eu/compliance-checklist-us-companies/
  *
  *   https://gdpr.eu/eu-gdpr-personal-data/
  *
  *   https://gdpr.eu/companies-outside-of-europe/

I'm no lawyer (they don't pay me enough for that) and I'm not going to pretend I understand all the ramifications of the GDPR but I think that there may be some points that CCSDS at least need to be aware of, particularly with respect to data identifying individuals.

Cheers for now,

Colin

CSSM Colleagues,

Attached are the notes from the teleconference on February 4th. Corrections appreciated. The notes have also been uploaded to the teleconference folder on CWE (meeting materials --> 2020 --> Telecons or https://cwe.ccsds.org/css/docs/Forms/AllItems.aspx?RootFolder=%2Fcss%2Fdocs%2FCSS%2DSM%2FMeeting%20Materials%2F2020%2FTelecons&FolderCTID=0x012000A2CFA608DF169C4EB988261660CEFAEB&View=%7BD853EDDB%2DF007%2D4BF6%2D8C31%2DBA03A9D0F4A4%7D

Also attached is the updated action item list which has also been posted to the action item folder in the CWE private space.

Our next telecon is scheduled for February 25th.

Best regards,

-Erik
