Dear All,
recently the SEA AD has submitted a resolution for including in
the normative track the formerly Green Book for Security Glossary; i.e.
eventually te book will be published as Magenta Book.
Rationale for this is the fact that definitions, in any Blue or Magenta
document should be regarded as foundational specifications worth being in
a Magenta (and not Green) Book.
Of course this reminds that glossaries have to be treated as normative
material as Glossaries, and in particular, Definitions in our Blue and
Magenta Books, have always been normative content.
However, some ( many?) blue books have terms defined as informative annex
after having carefully created definitions used consistently in documents.
Your WG may want to consider checking your documents having definitions in
informative annexes with respect to the necessity for keeping or changing
the approach.
Of course there is no hurry, but this could be an item for Berlin
meetings.
Best regards
Gian Paolo
