Nestor:

The next books to go to CESG polling will be 902.1-B, 880.0-G, 140.1-G,
and 413.1-G.
522.2-R and 524.2-B will be submitted subsequently.

522.2-R would have had priority but was too far outside Publications
Manual requirements to process in time to complete review prior to the
Spring Meetings, so it was moved down in the queue.

ESA requested to CMC to keep Telerobotics WG in dormant status
CESG agrees to keep the Telerobotics WG in dormant mode.
New proposed DAI WG project including parallel ISO reviews: Is this a pro
or a con ?
DAI WG has proposed 2 CMC resolutions, but the CESG Chair out them on hold
because considers that they deserve a discussion at CESG level
1. The CMC recognizes the notional architecture as proposed by the
DAI WG as a good basis for planning their future work in the digital
archive arena
ADs to analize the architecture and give feedback during the next CESG
meeting.
2. The CMC recognizes that for the work of the Digital Archive
Ingest Working Group, it is important for the ISO participation to be
encouraged during the CCSDS Agency Review phase, in order to avoid
extensive delays and rework in later ISO review phases. The CMC also
recognizes that it is critically important to support this work for the
Digital Preservation community much broader than the nominal participation
of the CCSDS space agencies. The CMC therefore resolves to express support
for the inclusion of the ISO community, and resolves to commit to an
inclusive and transparent review process for the future DAI WG projects in
standards for Digital Preservation.
CESG to discuss this item in the next CESG meeting
Approval of recommended text (see below) to amend the Procedures Yellow
Book - to provide criteria for joining the working group mailing lists.
(regarding external requests for individuals with no sponsoring agency.)
Pg 5-2, Sec 5.1.5.4
From:
5.1.5.4 Official CCSDS E-mail Lists
The Secretariat shall maintain an e-mail list server and provide moderated
announcement and discussion e-mail lists for all CCSDS organizational
units, including WGs and BOFs. A Web interface shall be provided for
access to list archives.
The e-mail lists maintained by the Secretariat shall be the official CCSDS
e-mail lists and shall be used for all official CCSDS correspondence
distributed via e-mail to CCSDS organizational units. The Secretariat
monitors, filters, and virus-scans all e-mail sent to CCSDS e-mail lists
to remove SPAM and messages that contain viruses.

Access to the working email lists shall be limited to individuals who are
members of the CCSDS Working Groups or CCSDS leadership and who are
approved participants in a Working Group (see 5.2.6.4 Participation).
Working Groups may, at their discretion, request creation of "WG-info"
mailing lists for outreach that is broadly open to the public, but these
shall not be used for normal Working Group operation.
And on pg 5-9, sec 5.2.6.4
From:
5.2.6.4 Participation
Working Group participation is generally limited to WG members; however,
occasional participation by ad-hoc technical experts may take place.
Working group members must be affiliated with member or observer agencies,
or liaison or associate organizations. Any WG participant who does not
meet these criteria must be endorsed by an authorized representative from
a member or observer agency.

Working group members must be affiliated with member or observer agencies,
or liaison or associate organizations. Any WG participant who does not
meet these criteria must be endorsed by an authorized representative from
a member or observer agency.
Working Group participants should register with the CCSDS online
Collaborative Work Environment (CWE) via the "Request Login" link (
http://cwe.ccsds.org/ReqLogin.aspx). Approved registration enables access
to CWE private working group areas and is required for working group
meeting attendance. CWE registrants must be approved by a sponsoring
agency or the Secretariat.?

CESG concludes that
NP to check with the Secretariat the way to improve the request for
membership and CWE account and the associated sponsorship. First step is
to become a member and the second one is to get a CWE account.
NP to inform the WG Chairs that they need to check their WG membership
classifying them for the WG or WG-info lists
NP to ask the Secretariat for the mailing list of all WGs
YB shall specify the approving authority at Agency level (CMC ? ). This
has to be discussed with the CMC

Web info on recently completed reviews (including the issue of what will
be stored and sent to the WG and who can get access to these inputs and
when
Gippo has prepared a presentation addressing the issue.(see attachment)
Brian Oliver provided a draft URL for restoring information about closed
review. CESG appreciated the approach showed in that draft URL .
Suggestion is to remove column allowing to retrieve only NASA RIDs, which
is misleading.
Can the NASA system be extended to all Agency RIDs.? Wallace to check with
James and the Secretariat. Agencies RIDs can not be inserted one by one. A
batch process is needed.
or Can we wait until the new RID System is deployed ? When ?
To be discussed at the next CESG meeting

AOB
CESG Chair has suggested to discuss the OMG - CCSDS liaison during the
next face-2-face CESG meeting.

Logistics for San Antonio:
1. David Ross distributed the allocation of rooms to the WGs, SLS
SLP and SIS DTN WGs have some overlaps, which needs to be solved.
2. CESG meeting will last from 08:30 until,18:00 hrs. SLS AD has to
leave on Monday around 3 pm. SLS DAD will attend the whole meeting.
3. P. Liebrecht (NASA) will address the Opening Plenary (Monday 8th
May)
