Dear Space Link Protocol WG and Friends,

NEW - Please look at this updated proposal for additional Prox-1 directives. It contains some feedback from Industry and other colleagues at JPL now.

Attached is a proposal to expand the existing CCSDS Proximity-1 (CCSDS 211.0-B-6) set of directives (“commands”) for Lunar operations (S-band, Ka-band) and beyond (Optical).

Please review this proposal and I plan on calling a meeting in January 2023 to discuss it. The objective is to come up with a set of directives that Lunar robotic missions will be able to interoperate amongst one another with an eye on making it as forward looking (Ka-band, optical) as possible.

Regards,
Greg
