[Sls-slp] Draft Topics for Virtual Fall 2021 SLP WG meeting

Dear SLP WG members,

Below is my set of draft agenda items for our upcoming virtual SLP WG meetings scheduled for Oct 25 & 26 via Webex.
Please let me know if you have any comments and/or additions to this list by Oct.

Agenda Items:


  1.  Path forward in generically defining the use of variable length frames within the TM Sync & Coding Specification (discuss in SLP WG first, then as a joint item with C&S)
  2.  What is the future with the Overview of Space Comm Protocols (OSCP) Green Book ?
     *   Is it really a SLP WG deliverable ?
     *   Because it changes so often, is it becoming unreasonable to manage ?
     *   Is the content of the OSCP GB obviated by a soon to be released draft Magenta book ?
        *   Some claim that the OSCP is really just a tiny subset of the SCCS-ARD, i.e., draft Space Comm Cross Support – Architecture Requirements Document – CCSDS 901.1 draft Magenta book. Should we simply stop producing the OSCP GB. What ramifications would that have ?
  3.  Common Terms within the SLS Area Magenta Book
  4.  Encapsulation Packet and Space Packet Green Book
  5.  Five Year Review of SLP WG Blue books due
     *   COP-1
