Please see the following URL that contains proposed changes to both TC and AOS. (TM will follow essentially the same types of changes as AOS, so after we have consensus, I will modify TM.) http://tinyurl.com/mo6m5sl Your Figure 6-c Marjorie in the TC book is quite innovative. You have also clearly identified all the processes and functions involved in the TC SDLS case. Under the Notes in Section 6.3.7, I had to change the reference to 6.3.2 since the order of processing for SDLS does not follow Section 4.3.5 (which was correctly called out in the text of 6.3.2). I decided not to include any figure such as 6c in the AOS book, simply because the COP-1 is not an issue for AOS and we are only dealing with the order of processing of the AOS functions and SDLS, which I believe is handled easily with text. I added a section "Error Reporting" to discuss the verification issues in lieu of the order of processing discussion in TC. For both documents in Section 6.4.2, I softened the text to say that the Virtual Channel Reception Fct will not deliver (in lieu of discard ) the frame if SDLS reports an error. In my mind, I want to prohibit the function from delivering the frame to the user, but not prohibit the capability for future forensic analysis by a select group of analysts. I think this best adresses Ignazio's concerns and questions. (Change also added to AOS). Please let me know if the text for both TC and AOS is now consistent and acceptable. If so, I will procede to make the changes to TM as well.
