[Sls-slp] Re: Prox-1 Data Link Review Telecon #1

The Prox link protocol has some features that are required/desired for time correlation.  The Collection of ingress and egress frames can provide very accurate correlation between the MRO spacecraft and the Lander (rover/remote node).  Note that for the MSL mission the one way light time varies from about 1-5 milliseconds.  The question I would like to raise is should we add a new supervisory command that can pass the orbiters frame time tag data to the lander/rover/remote node.  For Mars and MRO the Electra could be updated to use the time Distribution Supervisory Command to send the “Proper Time” that the lander can use to tag its data because the inaccuracy of that time in within 50 milliseconds of UTC.  Should we add specifics to the Time Distribution PDU.
