Dear colleagues,
After the success of the inaugural edition of Security for Space Systems (3S) conference, and the very positive feedback we received from several attendees and the request to repeat it, we are pleased to inform you that the 2nd edition of the 3S conference will take place from the 4th to the 6th of Nov 2025, at ESTEC (Noordwijk) in the Netherlands.
(the event will start early in the afternoon of the 4th to allow attendees travelling in the morning)
The Call for papers is already out (there will be only an IEEE track this time). Some key dates:
First review cycle
Submission deadline: 04 April 2025
Notification due: 30 May 2025
Camera ready deadline: 01 October 2025
Second review cycle
Submission deadline: 30 June 2025
Notification due: 01 September 2025
Camera ready deadline: 01 October 2025
Topics of interest (but CFP is not limited to them only; any security topic for space is welcome):
Applied crypto for space.
Avionics (spacecraft) security (security of avionics busses, on board data handling, processors, etc.).
Ground segment security.
RF jamming and anti-jamming techniques.
Security at System level.
Security for "New Space" and mega-constellations.
Security of optical space communications.
Security of space communication protocols (e.g. CCSDS).
Security of satcom systems (e.g. 5G NTN, DVB-S2, etc.).
Security of space relays and interplanetary missions.
Security Policies for space.
Security assurance, accreditation, and certification
Software security for Space Systems.
We are also planning a welcome cocktail in the evening of the 4th of Nov, and a dinner in the 5th.
