Objet : [Sls-sea-dls] Fw: Draft Schedule for Fall 2021 CCSDS Meetings
Security and SDLS WG members,
See the email below concerning the possibility of holding in-person CCSDS working group meeting in Toulouse in the Fall. While CCSDS has not yet been decided to hold in-person meetings, at the working group level, we have the ability to choose whether to meet in-person, remotely, or hybrid (both in-person and remote).
While CCSDS and CNES will make a final decision on or about 27 August (less than 2 months prior to the scheduled meeting dates), we do not have to meet in-person if we so decide.
Please respond with your choice:
a) In-person meeting, or
b) Remote only meeting, or
c) Hybrid - both in-person and remote meeting.
Thanks,
howie

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [Cesg-all] Draft Schedule for Fall 2021 CCSDS Meetings
Dear Area Directors and Working Group Chairs,
CNES has been able to secure an extension to the previous deadline, 15 July, for making a decision about hosting the fall CCSDS meetings in-person or remotely. The new deadline is 3 September 2021 and the CMC plans to make a decision no later than 27 August after discussing the situation at their midterm meeting.
With this in mind, the Secretariat is proceeding with the planning for the fall meetings. Please find attached a draft meeting schedule for your review. Please take a moment to review and send me any changes for your area of responsibility. I have tried to anticipate each group’s needs and included previously requested joint sessions. As this is a 5-day meeting schedule, we have 12 meeting rooms available to us. I will do my best to fulfil every request, but some rearranging may be required.
While we hope that conditions will allow for CCSDS to meet in-person, we acknowledge that some participants may elect not to attend and respect their decisions. If your working group will meet remotely regardless of CCSDS’s decision, please let me know. I will inform the CMC and CESG and this will be considered when choosing to meet in-person or remotely.
Best regards,
Michael Blackwood
