[Sls-rfm] Need to fully resolve NASA-WL-5 E2.8.6 description is only related to Prox-1 Ranging

Dear RF&MOD WG,

On September 9, we thought we had resolved Wing's RID (NASA-WL-5), however in looking more closely, I find that we didn't resolve the highlighted part below:

[Wing] Also, since E2.8.6 in 235.1 is the section that describes chip rate PN ranging field for both Prox-1 and general proximity links, should there be also a short description of how this field is defined for general proximity links?

This is still a valid question, even with the updates we made as a result of the Sept. 9 telecon. Reading the directive fields (see file: Proposed_PN_Ranging_directive..."), it's clear that both Prox-1 and non-Prox-1 users can apply this directive. However, if I was a non-Prox-1 users, IMHO, I wouldn't have enough guidance as to how to do it.

Question - Can the RF&MOD WG review and suggest some text or a NOTE for the non-Prox-1 users of PN Ranging ?
