Given the close relationship with C&S WG, this news is of importance to
RFM WG.

I take the occasion to wish all the best to Massimo on behalf of the RFM
WG but feel free to do it also personally to him.

Enrico

Subject: CCSDS C&S WG: organization change

Dear colleagues,

I would like to inform you that I am resigning my role of chairperson of
our working group.

Unfortunately, due to some re-organization on my side, i will need to
dedicate all of my time to a flight project for the coming years,
preventing me to go on with the CCSDS work.

As some of you already know, ESA would like to propose Andrea Modenini as
my replacement as WG chairperson. The official request
will come later on via the proper channels (CMC I suppose), but I would
like to inform you that this will be the proposal.
You all have seen Andrea in the WG over the past few years, so you don't
need an introduction. I would just like to say that Andrea is very
motivated
and dedicated to his work, and I'm sure he'll cover this role very
professionally and effectively, if CCSDS decides to accept this proposal.
I hope that Ken can go on in his role as deputy. Andrea will certainly
needs his help and expertise, which has been fundamental to me over the
past few years.

I am grateful to all of you for the work we did together over the past
decade and more...My first CCSDS meeting was back in 2008, in Berlin...
Quite a few things have happened since. I would like to believe that we
achieved something over these years, thanks to everyone's dedication.

I hope that the WG will keep on with the good work in the coming years,
and I'm sure that Ken, Andrea and all of you will manage to provide the
overall space
community the standards we need.

My warmest wishes to all.
Massimo
