Dear All,

Clement missed the deadline for comments but since he is just asking
questions for clarifications on the ESA paper SLS-RFM_20-02 for which
NASA also requested clarification, I think we can grant him to address his
comments.

Andrea please take a look at them too.

Regards, Enrico

I thought there will be a remote meeting on Thursday 4 to 6 pm.

Clarification needed for SLS-RFM_20-02 On the use of SCCC for Science
missions adopting space-to-Earth links in X-Band

- Interesting paper. As for SLS-RFM_20-07, using more efficient
modulations and coding like SCCC or DVB-S2 would lead to increased data
rate.

- In the tables in Annex A, it is indicated that max EIRP does
not take into account back off. It is probably included in the required
and goal Es/N0 but there is no explanation nor source about these values
in Annex B. They do not correspond to the value in SCCC Green Book. Goal
can be lower than required (ACM 26 for instance). Why?

- How protection of the adjacent DSN band is taken into account
in the predicted achieved symbol rates (position of the central frequency,
out-of-band rejection according to the used ACM, …)?

Clément

Clement,

I plan no session next week. For which documents do you have comments?

Enrico

Dear Enrico,

A lot of solicitations lately and I missed the deadline for comments. Will
it be possible to comments during the sessions next week?

Regards

Clément
