Dear NGU WG members,

This email will outline the draft Next Generation Uplink (NGU) meeting  agenda planned for Monday Oct 25, 2010 at the BSI in London, UK. in room 507.

Please let me know if you have any issues or suggestions for the content of this meeting. Iterations before the meeting are certainly possible.
Coffee/Tea breaks will occur by polling.

Topic 1: Review of Agenda
Topic 2: Direction of NGU WG

-          Joint NASA/CNES Near term and Longer term solutions to replacement of CCSDS TC Standard

-          Ed Greenberg's points of where commonality exists
Topic 3: Review of joint CNES/NASA White paper on Uplink Coding

Topic 4: Joint Compression WG & NGU WG discussion on use of lossless compression on the uplink

-          Driven by NGU: Discussion on requirements, Figures of Merit, applicable uplink data types and their characteristics, structure of the data

-          Goal is to come up with a plan of how to recommend and evaluate lossless compression techniques for future agency missions uplink needs
