Dear working group,
I have split the files provided by CNES for the 124 testing. They are
available in the 124.0-B/Test_Data/Jason and 124.0-B/Test_Data/PUS
directories on CWE private. The files are split so that each file is named
as "mission_APID_packet length in bytes".
The preliminary tests I did showed compression rations varied considerably
according to packet type for the Jason data - I suspect some of it is
payload data - the largest packet was compressing with a average ratio of
4. The PUS data was compressing much better with ratios of 10 - 20,
@Mark, I see you have loaded some data from Icecube, Thank you! I do not
understand the format though or the readme file explanation. Is a binary
where each packet follows the next file? Could you give me some more info
please.
Best regards,
Dave
