[Sls-mhdc] Action Item schedule

Dear Working Group,

A few of the due dates have slipped on our current set of action items. Rather than just ignoring the dates for remaining ones, I want to suggest that we attempt to re-plan the schedule.

Here’s a summary of my understanding of action item status:
1604-1 (Yellow Book for 122.1-B): ?
1604-2 (Complete & submit documents to become Red Book 122.1-R to CCSDS management): complete.
1604-3 (Review RIDs for 122.1-R): agency review not yet begun, so there are no RIDs to review yet, but we are currently on schedule
1604-4 (begin draft GB for 122.1-B): item (a) not yet delivered
1604-5 (skeleton white book for 123.1-B): item (a) complete, item (b) delivered late, on June 27
1604-6 (clarify details for 123.1-B): item (a) pending NDA completion, others on schedule
1604-7 (entropy coder bit rate comparison for 123.1-B): items (a) and (b) completed on schedule, others pending
1604-8 (entropy coder h/w complexity for 123.1-B): behind schedule, item (c) delivered June 14


I propose revising the plans on the the following action items:
1604-1: (UAB and GSFC please make a suggestion. It would be nice to have this done by the Fall meeting, but much earlier than that may not provide a significant benefit.)
1604-2: no change
1604-3: no change for now, but we may have to revise depending on when the Red Book is released for Agency Review
1604-4: Ian proposes: (a) July 8, (b) July 24, (c) September 1, (d) 3 Weeks before Fall meeting, (e) sometime after Fall meeting
1604-5: (c) July 29
1604-6: no change
1604-7: no change
1604-8: (d) August 19


Please let me know if you agree or suggest alternatives. I’m hoping to strike a balance to find a schedule that pushes us forward but is also realistic.
