[SLS-DC] Fall 2025 Meeting

Dear Working Group,

In light of Mark's unfortunate departure, I have volunteered to return as chair of the Data Compression working group. This must be approved by CCSDS management, and I don't believe that has happened yet. In the absence of a huge outcry from working group members, it seems likely that I will return as WG chair. Sigh.

Accordingly, I'll pretend to be WG chair until the happy day when I am relieved of my duties.

First of all, everyone please register for the upcoming meetings. This is required even if you will be participating remotely. And registration numbers help us show to CCSDS management that our WG is active. Here is the link: https://ccsds.org/meetings/fall2025/

CCSDS Blue Books are to be reviewed for reconfirmation every five years. Based on the publication dates, three compression standards appear to be due for review:

CCSDS-121.0-B-3 (Aug 2020)
  *
CCSDS-122.0-B-2 (Sep 2017)
  *
CCSDS-122.1-B-1 (Sep 2017)

(Not having been group chair for a while, I don't recall if the working group already reconfirmed the 2017 ones. I'm checking to see if this is the case.)

For all working group members representing a CCSDS member agency, please be prepared to comment on whether each of the above Blue Books should be reconfirmed as-is, retired, or revised. (Of course, we're happy to have input from any participant.)
