[SLS-OCM] Happy New Year and Optical Comm Working Group

Hello!

I just wanted to wish everybody a Happy New Year.  You have probably heard by now that the Optical Communications Working Group was approved and we will be standing up very soon.  Klaus-Juergen Schulz is still on holiday leave, but he and I have a face-to-face meeting scheduled for next week to discuss in detail how we will move forward with the working group, what processes will be used (e.g. telecons, video conferences, emails), the work schedule, etc. as we aim to have draft products for the CCSDS Technical Meetings.

For the moment, please plan on attending the CCSDS Spring 2014 Technical Meeting.  Information is already on the CCSDS website.

Klaus-Juergen and I will be back in touch in the next coupe of weeks.  In the meantime, if you have any suggestions or questions, please send them to us.  We are looking forward to working with all of you!
