Subject: [SLS-CC] Erasure Correcting Codes

Andrea,

Some years ago now, the C&S Working Group spent a couple years studying erasure correcting codes. including Fountain codes and Raptor codes. They're an interesting theoretical idea, but we never found a good application in the space setting. Hence, we stopped work, and I think the project can be deleted. It still would be a fun research topic, if we could ever find a good use for them though.

-Ken
