Hello MIA gang! Here’s a quick update on all things MIA (and me):

I retire from NASA next Friday, March 31. Paperwork is in the system for me to continue leading this group, and being Deputy Area Director for SIS, after I retire. Something called the Emeritus Program.

You should have a calendar invite for a meeting next Wednesday to go over our responses to the Conditions to Approval for our RTP over DTN Blue Book.

The Spring meetings in Huntsville are just around the corner. Plan on MIA meeting Monday afternoon and all-day Tuesday for sure. I haven’t received confirmation of the meeting spots yet. I’ll forward those when I see them. Hopefully the snag that was potentially going to keep many of our European members from traveling due to carbon credits has been … unsnagged. I look forward to seeing many of you in Huntsville.

As for the agenda for our meetings.. We only last week received approval of our two new projects. One is an update to our Green Book, “Motion Imagery Applications”. The other is our new project “Video Quality Assessment for Space Applications”. This was the project we spent much of our time in France discussing. Prior to the Huntsville meetings I’ll send out some “homework” to prepare for the in-person meetings. We’ll spend the majority of our time in Huntsville drafting the Green Book for the Video Quality project.

More to come, hope to see/hear from you next Wednesday on our Teams call.

Cheers!
