  *   Task funded, all papers signed, at NSSC for payment.---

Outbrief from NASA DTN Meeting last week

[Scott] Jay and NASA wanted to get enough information to work up PPBE submissions.  Group broke into breakout sessions and identified work items and who would do what so NASA can develop budgeting plan.  Seemed to go OK.



Applications breakout [Scott]:

  *   A generic API [MSFC] to go above all implementations.

  *   A [web?] services server / proxy that can manage invoking BP on behalf of applications

  *   BPsockets



[JW] those three groups talked about FY25, a 6-year plan, and a 30-year plan.  Might want to look at those plans and think about how standards fit into those.



Maybe get better support for CCSDS from different projects.



Common API

[KLS] Take a look at what Carlo Caini’s folks did



Network Management:

  *   get consensus on e.g. names of protocol elements.

  *   Policy can use the defined names in defining policies



[BS] need to have better explanation on the management agent side of how things need  to / are intended to operate.  APL will work more on the descriptive documentation.

[BS] There’s an inter-governmental certification authority (IGCA) - need to ensure that our stuff fits into that framework---Fall CCSDS Meetings

Joint meeting w/ SEA (ESA’s key management)



Erik Barkley and CSS

  *   Significant management overlap that DTN has to be integrated into that CSS does---Interoperability Test Plan

MSFC will be talking with GRC next week to work on things.



[JJ] Plan is to have a first draft of the interoperability test plan out before fall meetings.
