[Sis-dtn] FW: [EXT] [dtn] REMINDER: Interim Meeting October 5th

Dr. Keith L Scott kscott at mitre.org
Mon Oct 3 13:21:56 UTC 2022

Folks,

This is the proposal to extend the BPv7 IPN naming scheme to include an ‘authority’ (and potentially a sub-authority).

For us, if this is adopted, I think we request an authority for ‘CCSDS’ and maybe SANA deals with sub-authorities for agencies (or not, depends on what folks want).

Please take a look and provide comments to the dtn at ietf.org<mailto:dtn at ietf.org> mailing list.

                                v/r,

                                --keith

Subject: [EXT] [dtn] REMINDER: Interim Meeting October 5th
DTNWG,

This is a reminder that we will be having an interim meeting on Wednesday, October 5th (https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/dtn/meetings/), from 13:00 - 14:00 Eastern Time.

The primary purpose of this meeting is to work through comments relating to updates and extensions to the IPN EID scheme in the context of https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-taylor-dtn-ipn-update/.

Making sure we have a credible, scalable, efficient naming scheme is important to many adopters of DTN (in general) and BPv7 (in particular).

Please try to prioritize this meeting and please attend having caught up on the discussions so far on the mailing list and having read Rick's draft.

-Ed
