Hi. I have posted to the AMS CWE, on the CCSDS web site, the first Red
Book for AMS. I've also posted the final "markup" edition of the White
Book, showing (I think) all the changes since the White Book was
originally published; the Red Book is simply that final White Book
markup but with all changes accepted. There are only a few changes
since the second White Book markup:
- Remote AMS has gotten some more attention and is now slightly
simplified. It is still tough sledding, but Cindy and I have been
through it in detail a number of times now and I'm pretty confident that
it hangs together and will provide the functionality we're looking for.
- Fixed timeout intervals have been replaced with some abstractions,
identified in section 1.3.3.3.
- Thanks to some observations by Howie, the terminology used to
describe authentication of MAMS messages is now a little closer to the
mainstream.
