Dear SEA-SAWG colleagues,
First I want to wish you all a Happy New Year. I hope you all have enjoyed your holiday vacation time. I truly hope that the coming year brings us all relief from the pandemic that has gripped the whole world. Now that vaccines are becoming available and are being applied there is some hope that things will start to get better.
Second, I want to apologize to all of you who tried to attend the WebEx scheduled for this morning. I clearly got far too deep into the vacation “groove” myself, because I slept right through the meeting. I understand that a few of you did manage to get on the call.
We now have to figure out how to make up for this lost meeting. I’m reluctant to just skip the month entirely because I think we need to keep making progress. We can’t just shift it a week because we have the RASDS SAWG meeting scheduled for next Monday. Three options occur to me:
1. Reschedule the SCCS-ARD meeting for this Wednesday, 6 Jan 2021, at 0700 Pacific
2. Reschedule the SCCS-ARD meeting for the following Wednesday, 13 Jan 2021, at 0700 Pacific
3. Or reschedule the SCCS-ARD meeting for two weeks from now, Monday, 18 Jan 2021 at 0700 Pacific
I’ve diddled up a quick Doodle to see if we can get a rapid head count on what works best for all.
Please go here: https://doodle.com/poll/n5zh6wwx46ucv2b2?utm_source=poll&utm_medium=link
I’d like to ask you to vote no later than noon, Tuesday, 5 Jan so we can get the results out in time of a Wednesday 6 Jan meeting, should that prove to be the favored option.
Thanks, Peter
