Yes, I’m expecting to do that.  I’m not planning to discard our prior work, but this seems to be the unifying theme to which SOIS is converging.

There is some progress on description of SOIS, without emphasis on application support layer, in two files in CWE at “SEA Area/SEA-SA/Meeting Materials/2017/2017 Telecon Materials”.  The files are “storyboard.SOIS.v4.pptx” and “SAAOutlineWithSOIS.v4.docx”.  The former contains approximately the same material as the latter, but with different formats.  The main point in this material is that SOIS provides two general functions: One is the provision of protocols for communication onboard, and the other is a system model that facilitates adaptation of devices and software to different platform architectures.
