Hi Peter,
You are right that I didn’t get as far as the RASDS representation of the layering of services, but I did include an annotated version of the ESA “Future System Architecture” slide that shows the relationship with underlying protocols as a point for discussion. Hopefully I will get a chance to produce a draft RASDS representation of the key aspects of this before Cleveland.
Cheers
Roger

Hi Roger,
So glad to hear that you are no longer suffering fro kidney stones. A relief, I am sure.
I flipped through the diagrams and I think they will form a very useful input to our discussions. I do note that the links between SM&C, Nav, MP and the underlying communications layers seem tenuous at best. Maybe I overlooked it, but it seems that the only identified link between the whole MO world and ground stations has to do with navigation and one instance of SM for planning. Based on this it appears that magic or telepathy is used instead of ground stations to communicate between the MOS and S/C. ;-}
I assume that is not really the case, or if it is, is it patented? ;-}
If you can give this some further thought that would be great, otherwise we’ll use what you provided as a starting point tomorrow.
Thanks, and glad to see that you are back in the saddle.
Peter

Hi Peter,
Apologies for tardiness. I have now recovered from my bout of kidney stones, so finally got around to drafting something.
The attached is an initial stab at some RASDS-like diagrams of the MOIMS Area as an input to tomorrow’s telecon. It is very much work-in-progress, and I’ve had no opportunity to get feedback from within the MOIMS Area.
Best regards,
Roger

Importance: High
Dear SEA-SA colleagues,
It appears that the Tuesday, 1 March 2016 date, at 0800 Pacific, 1100 Eastern, 1600 London, and 2400 China will work for everyone who responded.
The primary agenda item for this session is to focus on Roger’s MOIMS layered service architecture. If anyone else has materials prepared that they want to present please let me know.
See below for Telecon details. You should be able to use your computer speakers and microphone, or see the link below for Global Call-in Numbers. I
If you have not used the ISO Webex before, or if you have had problems in the past, I strongly suggest that you configure it ahead of time. There is a “Set Up” link
https://iso-meetings.webex.com/mw3000/mywebex/default.do?siteurl=iso-meetings
And it will walk you through the installation of the app and has links for testing your helper apps for audio.
Thanks, Peter
