Importance: High
Dear SEA WG Chairs,
For the upcoming CCSDS Working Meetings, to be held in the Hague from 6-10 Nov 2023, I have elected to not schedule an SEA Plenary session on Monday. The motivation for this, as I mentioned in an earlier note, is to allow Tom Gannett and I to lead the CCSDS Boot Camp that is scheduled right after the CCSDS-wide Opening Plenary.
The good news is that you do not need to attend the SEA Plenary on Monday, but please note that we will still have the usual SEA Closing Plenary on Friday afternoon.
However, as in the past, I would like you to prepare a PPT presentation for the Closing Plenary that covers at least the following topics:
1. Overview of working meeting agenda
2. The single Executive Summary page showing:
* Goals for this meeting cycle
* Working Group Status
* Document status table (the usual document status summary table, with color coded document types)
* Problems and Issues
* Planning
* Interaction with other WGs
* Resolutions
3. You may add other pages to cover additional topics or points that you wish to make, or to get into any of the brief topics from that one page Executive Summary that you wish to discuss in more detail
And there is one further request that I have for you.
1. Please send me your draft of this Closing Summary presentation one week PRIOR to the start of the Working Meetings.
2. I’d like to have this draft PPT in hand no later than 30 Oct 2023.
3. I’ll use this info from you to create my CCSDS All Hands Plenary charts, that way I don’t have to guess at what might be correct
4. You do not need to fill out the f) and g) sections nor to add other topics unless there is something you want to bring my attention to prior to the meeting
5. Along those “bring my attention” lines, if there are discussion topics (or joint meetings) that are planned during the week for which you would like to have my support or contribution, please let me know when these are scheduled and I will do my best to support you
Relevant to that opening Boot Camp, if you, or your document editors, have not ever attended a Boot Camp, or have not done so during the last five years, I would request that you (and they) attend this one.
Best regards, safe travels, and see you in The Hague.
Peter
