Dear all,
as agreed we raised the your issues to CESG:
DAI: Clarify relationship between CCSDS and ISO in particular wrt
responsibility for document reviews and publication
Sami, Peter and Tom reported that discussion is on-going with ISO. The
problem is that there are new people in ISO who were not aware of the
previous agreements between CCSDS and ISO. Fortunately, an old memo
describing this agreement was found and produced. The discussion is
on-going and apparently with hopefully an happy ending.
MP&S: Higher NASA participation to the MP&S WG would be beneficial
This was brought up. I am not sure that it will result in anything
NAV:"Abbreviation" column in the SANA Organizations Registry
Peter Shames recognised the issue, and suggested that David gets in
contact with him.
SM&C: Criteria for pink-sheeting
It basically depends on the number of pages that have been changed. In any
case, when a new version of a book is reviewed, the focus of the review is
typically the changed parts. Tom Gannet could support the WG in deciding
what type of review applies to a given document.
SM&C: For the transition period there will be two threads of intrinsically
compatible documents
Two approaches where proposed:
a) technically signal the new set of books inside the standard, e.g. have
a " version number" in the MAL header stating " MO 2.0"
b) By management, e.g. by stating somewhere outside the book that book A
goes only with book B
SM&C: MO 2.0 was agreed by all Agencies contributing to SM&C WG: key for
success is task sharing
