MoM

  * Agenda Point 1: MAL BB Agency Review Status (issues raised at CESG review)

The RIDs of Peter Shames were reviewed in the splinter meeting. An Excel File has been created with the answers.
None of the raised RIDs were considered critical. They are mostly considered editorial and clarifications that we can add to the book.
In some cases the MS Word change tracking feature has been misunderstood and RIDs have been raised on deleted text/images, etc.
Some of the RIDs are on unchanged part of the published blue book rather than on the changes, nonetheless answers are provided.

Action: M. Sarkarati to distribute to the WG the Excel File with the Answers to the RIDs. WG members to review and provide updates by 29.06. (Excel file is attached to this MoM.)
M. Sarkarati to forward the answers to Peter Shames and call for a coordination meeting. Due Date 29.06.

  * Agenda Point 2: Packet Service Concept
Roger Thompson delivered a presentation of the concept.
Open questions are on the scope of the Packet service and its boundaries to the Mission Data Product Distribution Service.
Question: Shall the Packet service provide only PUBSUB style of streaming or shall it also support Req/resp style of retrieval (from t1 to t2)?
If the latter is the case, do we need to add a similar pattern to other M&C services, i.e. Parameter Service, Aggregation Service, Alert Service?
In this case we need to be clear about the difference between the capability offered by these services as the generic capability offered by Mission Data Distribution Serivce

Action: Roger Thompson to update the slides, explaining the differences between the Packet Distribution Service as compared to the respective SLE service. Due date: Mid July.
Mehran Sarkarati to organize a meeting with Cross Support Services WG and with IOAG to org, to cross check the scope of the Packet Service.

  * Agenda Point 3: Presentation of Agency Use Cases for the Mission Data Product Distribution Service
CNES, DLR and ESA delivered use cases and presented them. Nasa input is missing.
In general two scenarios are observed + one added by Roger.
Scenario 1: Predefined set of products are available for retrieval. The consumer can browse and retrieve them.

Scenario 2: Consumer can request a product and then retrieve it. If the product is generically produced or already available is transparent to the consumer. Which products the consumer can request and with which parameters are fixed in an ICD.

Scenario 3: Consumer can register interest in a product without knowing if and when it will become available. The service will deliver it to the consumer if and when it becomes available.

It was observed that both push and pull modes are used. Security is a consideration for the choice.
It was also observed that generic file transfer mechanism is a means of data distribution.
Serge highlighted that CCSDS has already a standard for generic terrestrial file transfer and we should check it out first.
Next step is to get NASA input. Peter Collins will update ESA slides to align them with the CNES and DLR style of input. Mehran Sarkarati will distribute the presentation.

  *   Agenda Point 4: AOB
Mehran Sarkarati will setup a Doodle poll to find the suitable time for next WG telecon.

Regards
Mehran
