I have been working on creating JSON Schemas for CCSDS messages at:

https://SpaceDataStandards.org<https://spacedatastandards.org/>

It's not an official effort, more of  a pilot that was partially funded by NIST / Commerce a couple of years ago.  It is all open source and Apache 2.0 / MIT licensed.

I would be happy to lead the official effort as DigitalArsenal.io is now a CCSDS Associate.

At this time there is no “official plan” for a JSON format of the Orbit Data Messages. However, there has been some interest in such an format and it’s safe to say that it’s on the list of things the CCSDS Navigation Working Group is considering. Interest in JSON has been periodically suggested/requested. I anticipate that there may be something offered in the next year or so.

Hi,



Out of curiosity, is there a plan to include an official JSON format of the Orbit Data Messages? I've seen some libraries and providers offering capabilities for CCSDS ODM in JSON. I'm wondering if that's going to be part of a forthcoming standard. (Or part of an existing standard that I've missed.)
