[MOIMS-NAV-EXEC] [CCSDS NAV WG] - Action 64 - SANA Registry REST API info

Dear NAV WG,

Please, find below a brief description of the SANA REST API (Action 64).

SANA REST API Review
==============

SANA registry provides a REST API, for registered users. The API description can be found in the attached document. The REST API can be used to retrieve the information in SANA registry in json format.

SANA REST API provide end point to retrieve the information of all registries or just a certain registry. In the attached json files, we can see the output of the following API requests:

  *   https://sanaregistry.org/api/registries/ndmxml_qualified
  *   https://sanaregistry.org/api/registries/ndmxml_qualified/records

The REST API is only supporting, at least with the information provided, the retrieval of the information already available in SANA but is not adding any additional feature like downloading files using filters or updating/creating registries.

The main use of the REST API, apart from internal SANA use, can be retrieving big set of records that can change from time to time like organization, etc... But I do not see a daily use that can improve current operations.

Note: the returned json file are "single line file". I have reformatted them to improve readability.
Note2: The URLs above only work when the user has an account and is logged into SANA, or when the request is done with curl as explained in the pdf.
