[MOIMS-NAV-EXEC] Simple Report on Nav WG books / February 2021

Per your request, here is the "simple report" on Nav WG projects in progress as of 10-Feb-2021, after today's telecon.

500.2 Navigation Data Messages Overview - Green Book V.2: The material in this document ages rather rapidly, and it is time for a refresh. We will propose a new project in the near future.

502.0 Orbit Data Message (ODM): Version 3 updates are in progress. A near final version is almost ready to distribute for internal review. This may be the last internal Technical review. If so, we will soon perform a proofreading review prior to submitting to you for your Area Director review and resolutions for advancement to Agency Review.

503.0 Tracking Data Message (TDM): Version 3 was deprioritized while the effort to complete Version 2 was underway. Version 2 was recently published, so discussion of version 3 will resume as soon as it is feasible.

504.0 Attitude Data Messages (ADM): Version 2 updates are in progress. Version P1.11 of the Pink Book will likely be distributed in the next week or so for internal review. It's possible that this document will be ready for Area Director review and Agency Review in mid-2021.

505.0 Navigation Data Messages XML Specification (NDM/XML): Agency review of modifications for the NDM/XML Version 2 completed 22-Jan-2021. RIDs have been applied to the Pink Book. The original AD Resolution when this project was approved indicated no prototype testing was required since material was only being removed from the document, but there are some new features that should be tested. Accordingly, testing plans are in progress. The proposal for a single prototype has been endorsed by you and by Peter Shames. The testing plan and test sets are nearly complete. It is hoped this will be ready for a polling resolution during the week of 15-Feb-2021.

507.0 Navigation Events Message (NEM): Distribution of the first NEM White Book should occur around the time of the Spring 2021 Meetings. The NEM has the same Lead Editor as the ADM Version 2 update, which has higher priority.

508.0 Conjunction Data Message (CDM):  The first Pink Book draft P1.0.1 was distributed in early December and is currently undergoing internal review; the review period is nearing completion.

509.0 Pointing Request Message (PRM): A set of Corrigenda has been prepared and submitted to the Secretariat for processing and CESG/CMC polling.

Recently published standards/other documents with no action necessary: 500.0 Navigation Data - Definitions and Conventions Green Book V.4, 503.0 Tracking Data Message (TDM) V.2, 508.1 Re-Entry Data Message (RDM).
