[MOIMS-NAV-EXEC] Simple Report on Nav WG books / December 2021

Per your request, here is the "simple report" on Nav WG projects in progress as of our 08-Dec-2021 telecon.

500.2 Navigation Data Messages Overview - Green Book V.2: The CMC Poll for an update to this document was approved. Project not yet started.

502.0 Orbit Data Message (ODM): The CMC Poll for the Agency Review of this document was approved, and the document has been in Agency Review since mid-October; the Review ends 14-Dec-2021. Prototype development is in progress, to be completed after the Agency Review and comments disposition.

503.0 Tracking Data Message (TDM): Idea collection for this document update (V.3) is still in progress. No draft has yet been prepared. We anticipate a first Pink Book just prior to the Spring 2022 meetings.

504.0 Attitude Data Messages (ADM): Version 2 updates are effectively complete. A version P1.12 was issued today 08-Dec-2021. The editors feel it is technically ready for the Agency Review. The WG will now conduct an internal proofreading review, after which the document will be sent to you for Area Director review.

505.0 Navigation Data Messages XML Specification (NDM/XML): Corrigenda for the CDM, RDM, and TDM that are associated with changes in the Version 2 Blue Book passed CESG/CMC polling. The corrected Blue Books were published this week. A CMC Poll for a new project to create Version 3 of this document (to accommodate changes to ODM V.3 and ADM V.2) was approved and the project is in the initial planning stages.

507.0 Navigation Events Message (NEM): Distribution of the first NEM White Book will be further delayed due to the fact that the NEM has the same Lead Editor as the ADM Version 2 update, which has higher priority.

508.0 Conjunction Data Message (CDM):  Processing of comments from the internal review of the first Pink Book draft P1.0.1 was completed during the Fall Meetings. A P1.0.2 Pink Book should be available in January.

509.0 Pointing Request Message (PRM): After correspondence with the MOIMS/MP WG, a very minor Corrigendum will be submitted.

Recently published standards/other documents with no action necessary: 500.0 Navigation Data - Definitions and Conventions Green Book V.4, 508.1 Re-Entry Data Message (RDM).
