[MOIMS-NAV-EXEC] Simple Report on Nav WG books / April 2021

Per your request, here is the "simple report" on Nav WG projects in progress as of 14-Apr-2021, after today's telecon.

500.2 Navigation Data Messages Overview - Green Book V.2: The material in this document ages rather rapidly, and it is time for a refresh. We will propose a new project in the near future.

502.0 Orbit Data Message (ODM): Version 3 updates are in progress. A near final version Pink Book 2.41 was distributed for internal review 09-Mar-2021; the WG is currently involved in a "proofreading review" (as opposed to a "technical review"), closing 30-Apr-2021. The technical content is assessed to be sufficiently stable to proceed. After the proofreading review, we will submit to you for your Area Director review and resolutions for advancement to Agency Review. A test plan has been drafted, and prototype development is in progress.

503.0 Tracking Data Message (TDM): Idea collection for this document update is still in progress. No draft is yet scheduled.

504.0 Attitude Data Messages (ADM): Version 2 updates are in progress. Version P1.11 of the Pink Book was distributed 09-Mar-2021 for internal technical review closing 30-Apr-2021. It's possible that this document will be ready for Area Director review and Agency Review in mid-2021.

505.0 Navigation Data Messages XML Specification (NDM/XML): The Secretariat is performing final document processing in preparation for approval to publish polling. The polls have not yet commenced, but according to Tom Gannett should be in the next round of polls. Associated corrigenda for the CDM, RDM, and TDM have been prepared and submitted to the AD for CESG/CMC approval polls; these polls are currently on hold but should be submitted to Secretariat as soon as possible after the Blue Book is published.

507.0 Navigation Events Message (NEM): Distribution of the first NEM White Book will be further delayed due to the fact that the NEM has the same Lead Editor as the ADM Version 2 update, which has higher priority.

508.0 Conjunction Data Message (CDM):  Internal review of the first Pink Book draft P1.0.1 was officially completed today.

509.0 Pointing Request Message (PRM): A set of Corrigenda has been prepared and submitted to the Secretariat for processing and CESG/CMC polling. The polls have not yet commenced, but according to Tom Gannett should be in the next round of polls.

Recently published standards/other documents with no action necessary: 500.0 Navigation Data - Definitions and Conventions Green Book V.4, 503.0 Tracking Data Message (TDM) V.2, 508.1 Re-Entry Data Message (RDM).
