[MOIMS-NAV-EXEC] Simple Report on Nav WG books / September 2020

Per your request, here is the "simple report" on Nav WG projects in progress as of 02-Sep-2020. We had a telecon scheduled for today but it was cancelled for various reasons including summer holidays and the fact that some documents are either in preparation but not ready to discuss or are in internal review.

502.0 Orbit Data Message (ODM): Version 3 updates are in progress. Pink Book version P2.40 incorporating results of the P2.39 review, updates from the Spring Meetings discussions, and completed XML section is anticipated in September (slightly delayed from earlier estimates, but in time for the Fall Meetings). The document is starting to converge. Test Plan discussions have started. Updates to some new CCSDS Normative Annexes in the SANA Registries referenced by the ODM remain deprioritized for the short term, but should recommence in October.

504.0 Attitude Data Messages (ADM): Version 2 updates are in progress. A version P1.10 draft was distributed to the WG on 04-Aug-2020; internal review is in progress. XML work for the new message it contains is yet to be prepared; that will commence after the ODM/XML work is completed.

505.0 Navigation Data Messages XML Specification (NDM/XML): The updated version has been submitted to the Secretariat for document processing prior to Agency Review. Thank you for your Area Director Resolution requesting the CESG/CMC Polls for Agency Review. To my knowledge Secretariat Document Processing is still in progress.

507.0 Navigation Events Message (NEM): Distribution of the first NEM White Book continues to be delayed. The NEM has the same Lead Editor as the ADM Version 2 update, which has higher priority.

508.0 Conjunction Data Message (CDM):  A first Pink Book draft P1.0.1 is anticipated prior to the Fall 2020 Meetings.

509.0 Pointing Request Message (PRM): A set of Corrigenda has been prepared and is still being worked at ESA prior to submitting to the MOIMS Area Director. A new group member is now working on the Corrigenda, and is making good progress.

Recently published standards/other documents with no action necessary: 500.0 Navigation Data - Definitions and Conventions Green Book V.2, 500.2 Navigation Data Messages Overview - Green Book V.4, 503.0 Tracking Data Message (TDM) V.2, 508.1 Re-Entry Data Message (RDM).
