[MOIMS-NAV-EXEC] Simple Report on Nav WG books / June 2020

Per your request, here is the "simple report" on Nav WG projects in progress as of our 10-Jun-2020 telecon. We are doing 2-hour meetings once monthly now given the reduced work time afforded by the Virtual Spring Meetings.

502.0 Orbit Data Message (ODM): Version 3 updates are in progress. Pink Book version P2.40 incorporating results of the P2.39 review and updates from the Spring Meetings discussions is anticipated in June. Updates to some new CCSDS Normative Annexes in the SANA Registries referenced by the ODM remain deprioritized for the short term.

503.0 Tracking Data Message (TDM): The CMC "approval to publish" poll for the TDM Version 2 is in progress and will end this Friday 15-June-2020. So far, no conditions have been raised. As of today 8 votes to "Adopt" have been received, which historically indicates approval to publish.

504.0 Attitude Data Messages (ADM): No change in status since Spring Meetings. Version 2 updates are in progress. A version P1.9 draft was distributed to the WG on 21-Apr-2020 and discussed during our virtual Spring Meetings. Based on the discussions, we will not internally review P1.9; a P1.10 will be distributed shortly and that will be internally reviewed. The P1.10 will contain resolution of several outstanding questions raised by the Lead Editor with respect to P1.9, so it did not make sense to review P1.9 since it had not yet seriously started.

505.0 Navigation Data Messages XML Specification (NDM/XML): This document was the focus of today's telecon. Based on an assessment of progress, this document is relatively mature and it should be progressing soon (Lead Editor budget permitting). A request for Agency Review will hopefully be coming your way in July.

507.0 Navigation Events Message (NEM): No discussion in today's telecon. Distribution of the first NEM White Book continues to be delayed. The NEM has the same Lead Editor as the ADM Version 2 update, which has higher priority.

508.0 Conjunction Data Message (CDM):  A first Pink Book draft P1.0.1 is anticipated in the not too distant future (perhaps as early as our August telecon). Responsibilities for feature updates have been divided up between the Lead Editor and Co-Editor and are in progress.

509.0 Pointing Request Message (PRM): A set of Corrigenda has been prepared and is still being worked at ESA prior to submitting to the MOIMS Area Director. However the former Lead Editor for this standard has accepted a new position and has left the group. A new group member is now working on the Corrigenda.
