[MOIMS-NAV-EXEC] Simple Report on Nav WG books / December 2020

Per your request, here is the "simple report" on Nav WG projects in progress as of 09-Dec-2020, after today's telecon.

502.0 Orbit Data Message (ODM): Version 3 updates are in progress. Internal review of Pink Book version P2.40 is complete, and the work to process the comments is in progress. The document is converging. Test Plan discussions have started and were previewed at the Fall Meetings. We hope to get the final draft to the Area Director in early 2021.

503.0 Tracking Data Message (TDM): Version 3 was deprioritized while the effort to complete Version was underway. Version 2 has now been published, so discussion of version 3 will resume as soon as it is feasible.

504.0 Attitude Data Messages (ADM): Version 2 updates are in progress. Version P1.11 of the Pink Book is nearly ready for distribution and internal review. It's possible that this document will be ready for Area Director review in mid-2021.

505.0 Navigation Data Messages XML Specification (NDM/XML): Agency review of modifications for the NDM/XML Version 2 is currently in progress, scheduled to complete 22-Jan-2021. The original AD Resolution when this project was approved indicated no prototype testing was required since material was only being removed from the document, but there are some new features that should probably be tested. Accordingly, testing plans are in progress.

507.0 Navigation Events Message (NEM): Distribution of the first NEM White Book continues to be delayed. The NEM has the same Lead Editor as the ADM Version 2 update, which has higher priority.

508.0 Conjunction Data Message (CDM):  The first Pink Book draft P1.0.1 is ready to be distributed for internal review.

509.0 Pointing Request Message (PRM): A set of Corrigenda has been prepared; it was originally scheduled for discussion at the Fall Meetings but due to time constraints and resource availability will be addressed in an inter-meeting telecon in early January.

Recently published standards/other documents with no action necessary: 500.0 Navigation Data - Definitions and Conventions Green Book V.2, 500.2 Navigation Data Messages Overview - Green Book V.4, 503.0 Tracking Data Message (TDM) V.2, 508.1 Re-Entry Data Message (RDM).
