Subject: Mission Planning & Scheduling WG meeting

Agenda:

  1.  Blue Book status
  2.  CCSDS Fall Meetings

Blue Book status


  *   After some delays, the book is now in the CMC poll, which is the final step before publication
  *   Peter will fix some minor editorials after the poll, just before the book will be published

CCSDS Fall Meetings


  *   The details for the CCSDS Fall Meetings 2026 were sent out
  *   Meetings will take place 19-23 October in Matera, Italy
  *   Monday 19 October will be dedicated to the Plenary and Common Ground Forum
  *   As such, the Mission Planning WG will meet 20-23 October
  *   The WG will meet in person this time
  *   First indication for participation:
     *   Peter: will attend in person
     *   Guillermo: will attend in person
     *   Dave: will attend in person, probably some constraints early in the week
     *   Maria (and Christoph): in principle attendance in person, but depending on workload
     *   Geoff: not decided yet

SpaceOps Conference


  *   Peter proposes a joint paper on the MP&S standard to be presented during SpaceOps 2027
  *   Peter can take the lead here, with contributions from others (Maria, Guillermo, Dave, ...)
  *   An abstract shall be submitted before end-August
  *   Peter will prepare a draft and circulate in the WG

Magenta Book status


  *   Peter has updated the use cases until section 4.5
  *   The latest MB draft 7 and additional information can be found here:

  *   The WG is invited to review the MB before the next WG meeting in August
     *   Only comments from Guillermo, Maria and Christoph have been received so far
  *   The comments from Guillermo have been discussed and agreed
  *   The comments from Maria have been discussed and agreed
  *   Most of the comments from Christoph have been discussed and agreed
  *   Some comments from Christoph will be further handled offline
  *   Peter will update the MB in line with the agreed comments
  *   Some comments may affect the Blue Book, Peter to check/fix these before publication
  *   Submission of the MB for Agencies Review is now planned before end-August

  *   Peter proposed to change the WebEx meetings to Teams meetings
     *   This is more convenient and allows for easier participation tracking
     *   If someone would expect issues using Teams, please inform Peter
  *   Next WG meeting: Tuesday 18 August 16:00 - 18:00, WebEx invite will be sent
