Dear all,

The agenda for tomorrow's WG meeting will be as follows:

  1. WG status
  2. Spring Meetings planning
  3. Magenta Book section 3 (Information Model) discussion
  4. Hands-on Magenta Book section 4 (Use Cases)
  5. AOB

By now you should have received an email from the CCSDS Secretariat on the Spring Meetings location and dates. It is now also announced on the CCSDS website.

Regarding the MB section 3 (Information Model): The first draft was provided here<https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1vf9Hf4y3laI0A7_e0FtGFB9KOiwUF09F>. Note that some of the text still needs to be added or improved. I already plan to do another iteration on the text.

At this stage, I would like the WG to reach consensus on the proposed content and structure. As such, please have a look at the draft MB and consider the following issues:

  * Are the new UML diagrams clear? Any suggestions for further improvement?
  * Are the tables with state changes clear? Any suggestions?
  * The table 3-2 on Service Operations for Activities is provided as an example. Do we want such a table for each of the Service Objects? Is all the information in the table useful (like type signatures)? Any information missing? Other suggestions?
  * Any other information to be added in section 3?

Regarding the MB section 4 (Use Cases): there is a working document here<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aBR2y-9sUx1xj7lrzCVKBdQDe-CzujOJNt7gxKNj52o/edit?usp=sharing>. It contains an initial list of use cases to be considered. Then, I have added two ways of describing the use cases, either in tabular format or as descriptive text (see the example at the end of the document). It is the intention to brainstorm further on this, i.e. to derive the best way to represent the use cases. In addition, we should agree on the actual list (only main ones, detailed sub-cases, non-nominal cases, ...).

I hope you can make it all tomorrow,

Peter
