Guillermo, Clement, and my new CCSDS colleagues,

Thank you so much for reaching out and thinking of us. We have been evacuated since yesterday morning, but fortunately it looks like the fire will not reach our home in Monrovia. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for other coworkers at JPL. One contributor to the RIDs of our red book lost his home, but his family is ok, which is what is most important.

The fires seem to growing much slower now and the winds are calming, which is promising. I still plan to call in Monday so I can give another update then.

Until then, I hope you and your families had a nice holiday and new year!

I hope everything is going well on your side, news from LA are really tremendous… We have several colleagues from CALTECH working in Euclid  that have lost their homes, I cannot imagine what they must be going through right now.
