Status and next steps towards Blue Book publication


  *   Blue Book
     *   Red Book update v2 provided 23 Feb 2025, all Agencies RIDs closed
     *   Red Book update v3 ongoing, expected 25 Apr 2025, all RIDs to be closed
     *   Blue Book publication version with only minor editorials (if any)
  *   SANA Artefacts
     *   XML Service Specification automatically generated from Blue Book
     *   XSDs for File Formats automatically generated from XML Service Specification
  *   Services Prototyping
     *   Test Specification v21 available, mostly complete now
     *   DLR prototyping completed
     *   ESA prototyping status?!
     *   Cross-checking DLR/ESA prototypes still pending
     *   Yellow Book to be finalized
        *   Guillermo to updated test specifications sections
        *   DLR/ESA to provide test reports / output from testbed
        *   Peter to write the introduction, conclusions, finalize book
  *   File Formats Prototyping
     *   Yellow Book with test specifications mostly completed
     *   ESA prototyping mostly completed
     *   DLR prototype to be updated for current Blue Book and Yellow Book
     *   Cross-checking ESA/DLR prototypes to be automated (script or tool)

Preparation of the agenda for the CCSDS Spring meetings

Meetings will take place 9-13 Jun 2025 at Laurel MD, with the regular time slots
Attendance in person? Attendance remotely? Availability? Constraints?

DLR: Maria in person, Christoph (remote, no constraints) and Marvin (remote, no constraints)
ESA: Guillermo (remote, limited time), Cesar in person (part time, probably 0.5 days in MPS), Peter in person (no constraints), Dave TBD, Dominik TBD
UKSA: Olly in person (TBC)
NASA: Eric in person, Geoff (possibly remote)
CNES: Clement remote (TBC)

Topics for discussion:

  *   Magenta Book (1.5-2 days)
     *   Additional information in the book
        *   Working session on the topics and ideas, way forward
     *   Editorial issues
        *   How to maintain the EA diagrams?
        *   How to include the Information Model specification (Cesar)?
        *   How to align with the Blue Book (avoiding redundancies)
  *   Green Book (1-1.5 days)
     *   Hands-on session(s) on the new sections and topics
  *   GDrive reorganisation + CWE (0.5 day - afternoon session)
     *   Hands-on session to reorganise the directory structure
     *   It should be clear where to find the latest versions
     *   Cleanup some of the old working data
     *   Should be "future-proof" also supporting the upcoming projects
     *   Prototyping documentation and code on CWE, links to GitLab
  *   Next steps (0.5 day - Friday morning)
     *   Outreach and promotion of the standard
     *   Additional supporting information for the standard (MO in general)
     *   Potential future projects, new books
     *   Conclusions
     *   Reporting to MOIMS

Peter will make a planning based on the information above and provide to the WG for further discussion.
