Minutes

1. SpaceOps 2023 paper on MP&S

An abstract has been submitted for SpaceOps 2023 on the upcoming MP&S
standard, in particular with an evaluation of the ESA ExoMars TGO and the
DLR EnMAP missions, about how the MP&S standard could potential have
improved the mission operations and interoperability between the different
entities involved in the ground segment.

This paper will contribute to the validation of the MP&S standard, in
terms of suitability of the standard for typical space missions. As such,
this analysis will be complementary to the work done in the prototyping.

The paper will be co-authored by Dave, Guillermo, Christophe, Maria, Marc
and Peter. Please contact Peter in case you also want to contribute.

2. Blue Book for Agencies Review

The Blue Book is in principle ready for submission for the Agencies
Review. However, the process is currently on hold given that the MAL Blue
Book Agencies Review has not started yet.

Roger to create an update of the Blue Book and EA model / XML Schemas (if
needed), to incorporate the latest agreed comments. In addition, the Blue
Book shall mention the current assumptions and open work (mainly related
to the MAL updates).

Peter shall submit the MP&S SANA Registry artefacts (XML Service
Specification for MP&S, XML Schemas for File Based Exchange), to be in the
SANA Beta Registry for the Agencies Review.

3. Prototyping Status

The Prorotyping is progressing well at both ESOC and DLR. Guillermo to
update the Yellow Book to include the latest feedback.

There is an open issue regarding the test approach (two prototypes in
isolation vs. two prototypes connected together). Dominik and Peter taken
an action to investigate how this was done in SM&C and check if the
current approach is sufficient (possibly the Yellow Book text to be
updated to properly explain the approach).

The MOIMS-AD indicated that the for the File Based exchange, the
protoyping and test results shall be documented in the Yellow Book.
Testing of the Planning Request is completed. The Planning Response and
Plan structures still to be tested (ongoing action Peter). To be
investigated if file based exchange could be tested between two entities.
Peter to follow up.

4. AOB and next meeting

Next meeting will be 20 September 16:00 - 18:00. Peter to send out the
meeting invite.
Main topic for the agenda will be the planning for the CCSDS Fall Meeting
2022 in Toulouse (17-21 October).

Best regards,

Peter
