5. AOB and next meeting

Minutes

1. MP&S Blue Book status

The latest MP&S Blue Book draft G3 and EA model draft V2 are available on
the GDrive. XML Schemas generated from the EA model are also available
here. The XML Schemas can now automatically be converted, adding
functionality that is not supported by the EA XML Schema exporter, such as
better structured List types.

Roger reported about an ongoing discussion in the SM&C WG on the structure
of the MAL Objects. In MP&S, there is a strong preference to keep the
resulting data structures as simple as possible. Roger will follow this up
in the SM&C WG. There could potentially be (minor) updates required to the
MP&S Blue Book, depending on the final MAL specification.

All other feedback has currently been incorporated in the BB. Some minor
open issues exist regarding the use of the SANA Registry: in SM&C, the
areas are defined as an enumerated type, but should eventually end up in
the SANA Registry to be extendible, and there is another open issue with
the NAV reference frames, where there is currently a redundancy and there
is an open action on the NAV group to clarify which unambiguous type MP&S
should use.

2. Prototyping status

The Yellow Book draft 2.2 is available on the GDrive, with detailed
specifications in the XL spreadsheet (v05). Guillermo is in the process of
updating the Yellow Book test specifications based on the feedback
received. Some feedback from Peter was discussed during the meeting.

Work at DLR will resume as of next week. An additional person will be
added to the team.

Work on the XML testing is ongoing by Peter. Currently, the
PlanningRequestFile testing has been completed. The testing of the
PlanningResponseFile and PlanFile is expected to be completed within the
next two weeks.

3. Blue Book Agencies Review planning

With the ongoing discussions on the MAL updates, the MP&S BB can currently
not be finalised. It is now planned that the Blue Book is finalised in the
coming weeks and a last review of the Blue Book can then be done during
the CCSDS Spring Meeting.

The Blue Book for Agencies Review shall include a list of assumptions and
open points. In addition, any referenced SANA Registry artefacts shall be
provided in the SANA Beta Registry in support of the review. These are the
XML Schemas, which are now completed and tested (some final testing still
pending) and the XML Service Specification for MP&S. The latter will be
the version based on the current MAL and the ongoing prototyping. It can
only be completed after the MAL updates are available. As such, there will
be open work regarding the MP&S Service Specification.

4. CCSDS Spring Meeting planning

The CCSDS Spring Meeting 2022 will again be held as Virtual event.
Technical meetings are expected to be held between 9 - 27 May. The CCSDS
Planery will be held on 11 May. The MOIMS closing plenary date is not yet
available, Marc to check. The last MP&S WG meeting shall be before the
MOIMS closing plenary.

The following MP&S Sessions are foreseen:

- session 1: Prototyping, Yellow Book and XML Schemas
- session 2: Blue Book finalisation, discussion of comments
- session 3: Conclusions and reporting to MOIMS (and further Blue Book
discussions if needed)

It is suggested to hold sessions 2/3 after SM&C WG discussions on the MAL
updates. Considering other constraints (e.g. 26/27 May are public
holidays), the following options are available:

- 10 or 12 May: session 1
- 16 and 19 May: optional, not preferred
- 24 and 25 May: session 2, session 3

Meetings will take place at the usual times, i.e. 16:00 - 18:00 CET.

Peter to coordinate with SM&C and to make the consolidated planning
available to the WG.

5. AOB and next meeting

No regular MP&S WG meeting is currently planned. The next WG meetings will
be held as part of the CCSDS Spring Meetings, see point 4 above.

Best regards,

Peter
