1. Overall highlights of 2007.
On the SM&C side, the WG demonstrated version 2 of the prototype in Colorado

Abstraction (CCSDS 521.0-R-1), the SM&C Common Services (CCSDS 521.1-R-1) and
the SM&C Core Services (CCSDS 522.0-R-1). These standards went through Agency
Review and are currently be reworked to incorporate the agreed changes. Work
has also been started on the first Magenta book, the SM&C Java API, which is
currently undergoing its second internal review. The WG has worked very
efficently together and has captured a lot of attention in the potential user
community being the most attended WG in both the Spring and Fall CCSDS
meetings 07. All active members of the WG (ASI, BNSC, CNES, CSA, DLR, ESA,
FSA, INPE, JAXA, NASA) are in agreement with the direction of the work
On the XTCE side, the XML Telemetric and Command Exchange (XTCE) (CCSDS
660.0-B-1) has been formally adopted in Nov 07 from the Object Management
Group (OMG) after two CCSDS Agency Reviews. The work is currently focused on
the MB as a tailoring of the BB for CCSDS-based missions. In parallel with
the Spring 07 CCSDS workshop, the 1st XTCE Users workshop had been organised
with very good participation by Agencies and European industry.
