Welcome to the CCSDS Spring 2025 Technical Plenary hosted by the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL)<https://www.jhuapl.edu/about/visiting-apl/campus-maps> in Laurel, MD!



Enclosed are details to prepare for your arrival next Monday, 9 June.



JHU/APL VISITOR PROCEDURES/ARRIVAL PROCESS

Please plan to arrive at the Kossiakoff Center (K-Center) for registration daily. Registration will at 8:00AM each day beginning on Monday, 9 June, ending on Friday, June 13. You will receive an event badge for the week that is yours to keep, and also an APL visitor badge that must be returned to the registration table daily. Please bring a form of identification for the badging process.



After being badged, you will sign in and proceed to the Opening Plenary or your next Working Group.



OPENING PLENARY & VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION

The Opening Plenary will begin on Monday at 8:45AM/EDT and end 10:45AM/EDT, with a short intermission and Technical Editor Bootcamp session (11:00AM - 12:00PM/EDT) to follow.

Credentials to join the opening plenary online via MS Teams have previously been distributed.



CCSDS GROUP PHOTO

After the Opening Plenary session ends, we will quickly capture a group photo whilst everyone is still inside the K-Center.



COFFEE/BEVERAGES/SNACKS/LUNCH

Coffee/tea/water will be available prior and during the Opening Plenary.



There are a handful local options available on campus and within walking distance, others a short drive away from the APL campus where our meetings will take place. I have attached a one-pager with details where you can plan your lunch or cafes to pick up coffee.



WI-FI/AUDIO-VISUAL CAPABILITIES IN CONFERENCE ROOMS

There will be wi-fi available with a passcode provided ahead of our meetings and signage onsite - see attached or below. Each conference room is outfitted with audio-visual capabilities to support hybrid meetings, included in each room are written instructions with connectivity and troubleshooting details. There will be a limited number of tech support floating throughout the building each day.

DISTINGUISHED PLENARY: A CONVERSATION WITH DR. VINT CERF

A Special Plenary Session with Dr. Vint Cerf will be held on Tuesday, 10 June 1-3PM/EDT in the K-Center Auditorium. The conversation will follow an open-forum format with time allowed for questions and answers.
