Subject: [Css-rasg] Reminder, Wednesday, 1400 UTC, 14 April; Telecon materials
CCSDS Colleagues,
A reminder that we have a telecon scheduled for tomorrow at 1400 UTC.
The proposed agenda includes:
1) May meetings planning (please see attached proposed agenda for May meetings)
2) BOF Status relative to ESTEC meetings (see below)
3) Development of Presentation of Concept to date (outline hopefully to be sent later today)
4) Discussion of viewpoint specifications to date (please see attached spreadsheet)
5) Discussion of preliminary overlap analysis re specifications involving messaging (please see attached spreadsheet)
Also, for reference, is the latest concept paper. I do not believe that this will be completed before the May. Therefore, I believe it would be most beneficial for the BOF to focus on presentation of the concept developed to date for a wider CCSDS audience to help shape the forward work after the May meetings. I think that construction of a view based on a viewpoint specification as an example would be a very worthy accomplishment by the time of the May meetings.
To help set the context leading into the May meetings, here are the goals elucidated by the "Super BOF" at the ESTEC meetings, directly from the MoM:
WG Goal: Define a Framework (CCSDS based model) definition that covers space and ground including:
1. Exhaustive list of services identifying cross-support services
2. Cross-Support & Interoperability Use cases / Operational scenarios,
3. overlap and gap analysis (identify redundant and missing services)
4. Business cases (based on existing and in-work services),
5. Architecture of existing and in-work services including an information model,
6. Abstract service definitions: rational for a service, content of service specifications, taxonomy
7. CCSDS Reference architecture. Identify impact on existing architecture.
I look forward to speaking with everyone at the teleconference tomorrow.
Telecon arrangements are:
US, Canada: 1-866-328-8761
Outside the US : +1-818-354-3434
Meeting ID: 3496
Meeting Password: (No Password)
Best regards,
-Erik
