[Css-csts] CSTS Telecon #1 - bad link for phone access numbers AND THE MEETING ITSELF

Hi, everyone. I’m trying to get into the meeting by cut-and-paste of the URL https://meet.lync.com/esrin/holger.dreihahn/7EUPUXGG<https://anakin01.esa.int/esrin/holger.dreihahn/,DanaInfo=meet.lync.com,SSL+7EUPUXGG> but I’m getting a “We're having trouble getting you into the meeting” error window.

I’m trying to call into the US access number (which I was able to get) but it’s asking for a conference ID number, which is not in the email.

Is anyone else able to get into the meeting, and if so, how?

Hi John,
There is nothing I can do about it other than complaining to our IT. The fact that the link is changed is pretty normal, the bad thing is that there are expired certificates involved.

In preparing for tomorrow’s telecon, I attempted to find the US access phone number(s)  by clicking the link in Holger’s meeting announcement email (see below). When I clicked on the link in the message it went to
anakin01.esa.int/,DanaInfo=dialin.lync.com,SSL+f706e28c-e679-4e08-84a8-b4a001bdd11a
which my browser rejected as a privacy error:

However, when I simply copied the text of the link (https://dialin.lync.com/f706e28c-e679-4e08-84a8-b4a001bdd11a<https://anakin01.esa.int/,DanaInfo=dialin.lync.com,SSL+f706e28c-e679-4e08-84a8-b4a001bdd11a>) and pasted it into my browser it worked correctly.

If you are looking for the access number(s) that are local to you, you may need to do the same kind of cut-and-paste maneuver.

Holger – for the future can you try to figure out how the link got changed to “anakin01.esa.int …” and prevent that from happening in future emails?
