by Wolfgang.
@Wolfgang: many thanks, this is very much appreciated.
Kind regards,

Dear CSTS WG members,
in lieu of minutes, this is summary of the outcome of yesterday's CSTS
telecon, certainly compiled from the book captain's perspective. In case
we need to have a record of further discussion items, please let me know.
Wolfgang gave a summary of the Framework book changes that have been
implemented after the San Antonio meeting. Items that might require
further updates of the book were discussed as follows:
The Service Management BB for now still reference [2] shall be removed
from the list of references, in particular as it might be retired (made
silver) at the next CCSDS workshop. John will provide Wolfgang with
appropriate references to the Service Management WG books wherever the
Framework book contains references to Service Management.
Directive-identifiers shall take the form of OIDs, i.e. the currently
specified option to use a string shall be removed.
The terminology 'user - provider' will be retained.
The transfer buffer presentation will be cleaned up. The buffer used by
procedures dealing with return data (data delivery) will be called
return buffer. the buffer used for forward data (data processing) will
be referred to as forward buffer. Both type specifications will be
included in the type listing all Framework PDUs.
The two cases where we still have a discontinuity in the CHOICE tags
will be updated so that all tags are in sequence without gaps.
OIDs dedicated to a dummy service will not be added to the OID tree. For
consistency with the terminology used for the service 'radiometric data'
will be replaced by 'tracking data'.
The GET diagnostics will be revised as to have an appropriate diagnostic
for the case where the Functional Resource related part in a parameter
label or parameter name is incorrect.
Yves will reply offline to the question raised by David regarding the
OIDs to be used in a NOTIFY invocation.
Wolfgang will proceed with updating the Framework book based on the
above aiming at completion of that activity within the next 10 days. The
WG members will then be given two weeks to review the material. Assuming
that no major objections are received, the document will then be
forwarded to the area director.
Best regards,
Wolfgang
